Is there really a threat to the life of ordinary citizens around the world? Yes there is a real threat. The Islamic fundamentalist movement centered in Iran and Sudan strives to wipeout liberty, prosperity and earthly happiness enjoyed by Western civilization generally and American civilization in particular. Those Islamic power centers—especially Tehran and Khartoum—prepare radical Muslim followers for Jihad or Holy War. They provide funding, weaponry, bombs, organizational support and trained terrorists to Islamic fundamentalist movements including Hamas, Hizbollah, al Qaeda and Islamic Jihad.
Terrorist movements might seem abstract and distant to people living a normal life. But to make this situation more tangible think about an ordinary citizen, a retired American engineer, whose son was on the 42nd floor of the World Trade Center on the morning of September 11, 2001. Shortly after arriving at his office, Islamic fundamentalists flew hijacked airplanes into the World Trade Center towers. This engineer’s son lost all his belongings—computer files, pictures and personal items—when the ceiling of his office collapsed to the floor. Fortunately this man’s son had time to exit the building before it collapsed. The old man and his son were able to reunite, but thousands of other people in those buildings were not so lucky. They were crushed to death by the weight of concrete and steel.
Yet what ultimately crushed these civilians were terrorist plans and actions arising from Islamic fundamentalism. The general ideology of Islamic fundamentalism was developed by Sayyid Jamal al-Din “al-Afghani” (1838-1897), Hasan al-Banna (1906-1949) and Navvab Safavi (1923-1956). Once developed, this general ideology was transformed into a specific ideology of Islamic Revolution by Mawlana Abu’l-A`la Mawdudi (1903-1979), Sayyid Qutb (1906-1966) and Ruhollah Khomeini (1902-1989).
Ideas have consequences. Afghani did not know precisely how his anti-Western ideas would be implemented. He could not have foreseen hijacked airplanes flown into the business and military centers of America. But anyone can trace the steps from Afghani’s work in the 19th century to Khomeini’s work in the 20th century to the Islamic Revolution of 1979 in Iran. From there, one can observe Iran’s theocratic government providing support to carryout attacks against the West in the form of embassy seizures, airplane hijackings and building bombings—right up to the 21st century massacre at the World Trade Center in New York.
United States President George Bush has properly declared War on Terrorism. He said the War on Terrorism would continue until all terrorist organizations are destroyed. President Bush wants to attack Iraq to destroy Saddam Hussein’s weapons of mass destruction and remove Saddam Hussein from power. Of course, this attack will have reverberations throughout the Islamic world—possibly triggering retaliatory attacks on America by terrorists stationed in America. Those terrorists could be prompted to blow up government buildings, nuclear power plants, airports and other civilian targets. Those terrorists could also deploy weapons of mass destruction on major US cities in hopes of realizing their ultimate dream: collapsing America and the West in order to establish a worldwide authoritarian Islamic State.
Will this be World War III? No. World War III is upon us, but this war will not be fought with artillery or military might. Instead, as explained below, World War III is an intellectual war that must take place now. This is a war of ideas—a war between the ideologies of Statism and Freedom.
Quietly and secretively, Local Group has been assembling intellectual weapons of mass production. Those intellectual weapons let everyone become a genuine producer of goods and services—real wealth—to experience prosperity and longevity marked by exquisite romance. However, Local Group has withheld those weapons of mass production from the populace. Local Group has been sandbagging the earthbound world since the mid-1990s.
Things will change now. Local Group will start unleashing its intellectual weapons of mass production onto earth’s inchoate civilization. And Local Group knows exactly who will be targeted.
Statist forces have controlled mankind since the dawn of civilization. Elite statists have through coercion and deception continuously encroached upon the freedom of citizens until they have attained almost complete control over the populace. At that point, societies have either collapsed or were taken over by war from within or without. The power of the State has always been the power to coerce citizens, whether under the auspices of government or religion.
The United States of America was unique in history because its founders explicitly attempted to delimit governmental powers. But there were loopholes in the US Constitution that enabled statist elements to slowly gain power over the populace. During the first century of America, the citizenry was generally free and able to live in relative peace and prosperity. Then during the second century, statist elements made up for lost time as the federal government began to seize control over the money supply, business and the economy. By the end of the twentieth century the federal government had its hands in every area of society including the computer industry.
Now, at the beginning of the twenty-first century, the State is taking over corporate America in a bold move—justifying the takeover as a way to counter “infectious greed” on the part of businessmen. Sensing an opportunity for the coup de grace takeover of the private sector, the State is leveraging the Enron/WorldCom debacle into a platform to takeover business via State regulatory controls. This will give the State unlimited power to dominate the populace. Few people will oppose this action. Most people believe it is right for government to put an end to “greedy” corporate America.
Yet the public could not be duped into thinking government is the solution without the handiwork of social intellectuals. It is society’s intellectuals that mold the minds of the citizenry. Social intellectuals impart the knowledge and shape the attitudes held by the masses via State-sponsored education, books and articles along with State-influenced newspapers and media reporting. These social intellectuals are the hired hands that prepare the citizenry for takeover by the State.
And now with big government growing even bigger—taking over larger chunks of the private sector—Local Group is going to war. Local Group will go to war against all statist elements on earth including both government and religion.
As revealed above, Local Group has been quietly assembling intellectual weapons of mass production for several years while concealing those weapons from the public. But now Local Group is going to unleash an F5 strength tornado of intellectual firepower against State forces. F5 is the highest designation on the Fujita Scale for tornado intensity, wind speed and damage done.
Right now, as the State is hastily passing legislation to control the top seats in corporate America, Local Group is readying its intellectual firepower. Local Group possesses an arsenal of cognitive smart bombs to be deployed by intellectual B-2 stealth bombers and cerebral F-16 fighter jets that will be operated by the cyberspace ninja. Local Group’s hangar has been opened and its intellectual aircraft are taxiing down the runway. Their epistemological turbines are emitting heat, waiting to be brought to full thrust.
Upon receiving clearance, those cerebral fighter jets will accelerate down the runway and liftoff at maximum thrust from the Isle of Monte Cristo. From there they will head to specific targets. But this war is not limited to statists in America. It encompasses statists in government and religion worldwide.
Right now Local Group’s intellectual aircraft are running low-key reconnaissance missions to identify fixed targets such as social intellectuals who get paid to subvert the civilian mind into accepting State encroachment. Other fixed targets include religious fundamentalists who get paid to dupe people into accepting the god hoax. As battles proceed, moving targets will be identified and taken out one-by-one including supposed advocates of freedom who hypocritically turn to government clamoring for more controls and protection against market competition.
The general public will not hear about this war. They will learn about it much later if ever. Instead, the public will witness one State (America) fighting another State (Iraq) and they will steadily lose their freedom—in the name of fighting terrorism and greed. Soon the mis-educated public will endure troops quartered in their homes or perhaps endure spies in the form of TV repairmen and plumbers to inform the State about “unusual activities” occurring in people’s homes. The public will be worried and justifiably so as government raises taxes, inflates money, cripples the stock market, destroys investor confidence and grows to undreamed of heights—perhaps with Big-Government/Green-agenda Al Gore in 2004.
But Police-State America will never materialize—not today, not tomorrow, never. Why not? Local Group has identified the weak link in State strategy and that weak link will be collapsed. What is that weak link? It is the connection between the State’s inexorable drive for power and the social intellectuals who get paid to justify State dominion.
Local Group possesses epistemological nuclear bombs, but these will not be deployed. Rather, Local Group will trigger the social intellectuals’ anti-aircraft defenses. Then after assessing the social intellectuals’ defenses, Local Group will run late-night intellectual air strikes—dropping cognitive smart bombs on fixed targets. Then it will roll out a series of mystic-busting bombs to flush out those social intellectuals’ logical fallacies. Only if needed will Local Group unleash one or more of its epistemological nuclear bombs, which are the cognitive equivalent to a real nuclear bomb: they will completely annihilate non-sequitur rationalizations that let some people initiate force against others. Never in the history of statism—from Roman Catholicism and Islamic Fundamentalism to Communist Cuba and Socialist America—has the State encountered an intellectual storm with an F5 magnitude.
The State in general and its social intellectuals in particular will feel this imminent F5 storm. When Local Group crisscrosses the planet with its intellectual firepower, taking out target after target, those statists will begin reaching for their ultimate survival tool: initiatory force. Gun-carrying bureaucrats will have the task of terminating Local Group by removing its Internet presence, seizing its finances, putting a lien on its property, confiscating its equipment and hauling away its workers.
Who will win? Who will be victorious in this—the ultimate war—World War III? Will State forces claim victory or will Local Group triumph? What will be the outcome of World War III: total statism or total freedom?
You might wonder why this intellectual war is different from previous intellectual wars against statism. Why will this war be the decisive battle between statism and freedom? The answer to that question is revealed in the following analogy that compares two vehicles: the first being like all past intellectual wars and the second being like this war conducted by Local Group.
Imagine walking up to a new black Porsche convertible. You open the door and sit in the black leather seat. The top is open and there are two small roll bars behind the seats. The fresh air and sunshine bath your body. You put the key in the ignition and turn it. The engine starts up effortlessly and idles quietly. You lower the air conditioner and put the shift lever in reverse. You back down the driveway and drive away.
Upon reaching an intersection, you wait for a break in traffic. The weather is perfect; it is a beautiful day outside—a perfect day for cruising in a convertible sports car. The traffic clears and you carefully let out the clutch and feather the accelerator pedal. The new Porsche effortlessly moves forward as you guide it into your lane. Still in first gear, you depress the accelerator pedal to the floor.
The Porsche responds immediately. The front end abruptly lifts and your body is pinned to the seat, which holds you firmly in place. The engine, sitting just behind your back, starts its climb to power with a subdued growl. You look at the tachometer and see the engine is racing past 4,000 rpm. The subdued growl of the engine transforms into an aggressive howl that drowns out everything. Within seconds the engine is at its 7,250 rpm redline and you shift smoothly into second gear.
You release the clutch and depress the accelerator pedal again. The rear tires break loose momentarily as they cry out for traction. Then the Porsche gains full traction and accelerates forward. Once again the tachometer begins its upward sweep toward redline as the motor emits an aggressive howl. You shift into third gear, this time before the engine reaches redline. You let out the clutch and depress the accelerator pedal in third gear.
Now you are moving rapidly. You notice the scenery ahead of you start to approach faster and faster. The cars ahead of you get closer and closer. You lift your foot off the accelerator pedal to let wind resistance and gravity slow you down. Soon the Porsche decelerates to a normal speed.
You continue driving down the road—the engine barely making a sound, effortlessly carrying you down the road with beauty and elegance. The ride is pleasurable and people look at the stunning black convertible as you drive past them.
The above description is an analogy for all past wars against statism: they were good but they all lacked the killer instinct needed to annihilate oppressive statism. The following description is an analogy of the power needed—power possessed by Local Group—to annihilate statism and usher in a free world.
Imagine walking up to an old Buick musclecar. From its external appearance it looks like something your grandmother would drive. It is low-key with no indication of being a performance car. You open the door and sit on the cloth bench seat. The interior lacks the ergonomics of the new Porsche. You put the key in the ignition and start the motor.
You think this is just another old car until the motor fires up and momentarily rocks the car. You are startled because the Buick is heavy yet the motor easily shook the car. You now realize that the Buick’s motor is not only large but also powerful. The motor idles quietly but emits an uneven rumble at the tailpipes. You tap on the accelerator pedal and the motor responds instantly. You tap the accelerator pedal again, this time a little harder. The motor transforms from a civilized-sounding engine into what sounds like a Top Fuel dragster. You shake your head in disbelief because this old Buick resembles something your grandmother would drive. It is inconspicuous.
You back out of the driveway and drive away. Driving slowly, you feel the automatic transmission shift into second gear. The Buick lurches forward as it shifts into second gear; you are jolted in your seat. You think this harsh shifting is strange from such an ordinary looking car.
While driving down a back road on this beautiful day, you realize there is no traffic in sight. So you pull into the middle of the road, positioning the Buick musclecar in the center of the road—on top of the crown in the road. You are going to see what this Buick can do.
No one is around to see or hear you except someone doing yard work in the distance. Other than that, open land and trees surround the road. With your foot on the brake pedal, you push the accelerator pedal slightly. The back tires break loose and begin to scream like a wild animal being attacked—drowning out all other sounds.
You release the brake pedal and the Buick slowly moves forward as the rear tires screech on the pavement. Then you remove your foot from the accelerator pedal and firmly grab the steering wheel with both hands. With a firm grip on the steering wheel, you push the accelerator pedal to the floor.
Looking ahead, you see the two motor vents on the hood. Suddenly you hear a violent explosion from under those vents. It is the most intense sound you have ever heard. But before you have time to be frightened by this violent uproar, the backend of the Buick powerslides to the right side of the road. You feel the back half of the car pulling toward the edge of the road while the front half of the car pulls forward. You instinctively begin to steer in the direction of the powerslide. Your steering keeps the Buick on the road, but you barely have control of the car.
Now you are frightened. What sounded like a nuclear explosion under the hood transforms into what sounds like a Formula One racecar at full throttle. This is the most terrifying experience of your life, yet all you can do is hang on—trying to keep the car on the road and out of the ditch.
You have no time to look around, but you imagine the back tires are spinning profusely. In fact you are correct. If you could look in the rearview mirror you would see smoke pouring out of each wheel well. But you are concentrating on forward motion—desperately trying to keep the car going forward.
Still in first gear, the Buick’s motor has gone from a deep, tumultuous sound to a high-pitched wail. Your knuckles are turning white as you hang onto the steering wheel. Suddenly you hear a big boom. The car jumps to the other side of the road as you feel the backend powerslide to the left. The Buick automatically shifted into second gear at full throttle. It was such a violent shift that the entire car hopped in a new direction.
In an attempt to gain control of the unruly Buick, you turn the steering wheel in the other direction to counter the powerslide. In second gear, the motor is back to its low-rpm beastly sound. But the motor rapidly transforms itself into a high-pitched wail and the car begins to pickup speed. You fight to keep the car on the road as you accelerate forward.
Even though you are terrified by the explosive launch of the Buick, you notice that the motor is making mathematical music. You have never experienced such brutal torque or raw horsepower, but you are mesmerized by the sound of this engine.
At this point you have picked up speed, but you still do not have complete control of the car. The back tires are spinning endlessly, leaving clouds of smoke and two long S marks on the pavement. Now you are trembling and sweating. As the motor screams in second gear, the transmission automatically shifts into third gear, causing the Buick to jump in hiccup fashion. The tires go into a spinning frenzy once again.
This section of the road is flanked by trees and cast in shade. The rear wheels continue spinning as the motor hammers out profuse amounts of torque. Then the torque gives way to copious amounts of horsepower. Finally the back tires stop spinning as the Buick accelerates straight up the middle of the road. You look at the speedometer and realize you are approaching triple digits. So you lift your foot off the accelerator pedal and coast down to a normal speed.
When you return from your driving experience, you park the Buick in the driveway and get out. Your whole body is trembling. Trying to appear calm, you look at the old Buick. It stares back at you and gives you an uncanny look that says, “I’m just an ordinary car.”
You go inside the house to air-conditioned comfort and pretend that you were not scared out of your mind and that you did not almost lose control of the Buick. You try to forget about that experience. Yet you cannot believe that such an ordinary looking car packs such an explosively powerful punch.
Looking back on these two cars, you see a major distinction. The new Porsche looks fast and is fast—a good bet for being the dominant ride. The old Buick, by comparison, has an inconspicuous appearance yet delivers terrifyingly explosive performance. Side by side, most people would pick the Porsche over the Buick to be the faster car. But in reality, the Porsche delivers good speed but the Buick has the killer instinct that annihilates the competition.
The above car analogy reveals the difference between past intellectual wars against the State and the intellectual war between Local Group and the State. Past wars were good but they lacked the killer instinct. Local Group has the killer instinct and will clean-sweep statism off planet earth. That clean-sweep action will be accomplished via intellectual weapons of mass production to liberate everyone so all citizens can move into a universal civilization of enduring peace and prosperity.

real threat to America’s security.
Most
wars are waged between State elites rather than between citizens of warring
states. State-sponsored intellectuals have aroused nationalistic feelings among
the populace to rally the citizenry into supporting the war. Sadly, the State
always wins and the citizenry always loses as a result of war because the
Wartime State inflates money, increases taxes, grows larger and seizes evermore
power over the populace.
The
government should prosecute fraudulent businesspeople that misrepresent their
company’s public earning statements. But that is all government should do: protect
the populace from force and fraud. Existing anti-fraud laws are enough; no new
legislation or bureaucracies are needed.
